Really good timing for me! Thank you for sharing. I've been reflecting on the "habits" of a corporate life that I've "fallen" into now that I'm starting my own business, which includes how and when my day starts and what people expect of a "working" day!
I've changed a few things, but still need to be more disciplined about how the day runs for me.
Isn't it fascinating how you do what you learn, about work? Living the life you want is often a different proposition from doing the work you want to do, and yet is a paradox that can be tough to resolve.
Totally, its "one less decision to make" in a world where we seem to be overloaded with decisions, but that doesn't mean it's good for you, its just familiar.
I'm grappling with the idea of a "creative day" only its for something I've never considered a passion, painting. I'm finding it hard to reconcile that "calling" with my logical problem solving self!
If you're called to it, just do it. There is no reconciling; just doing. That's what I learned when I stood for a full hour in my loungeroom debating with myself on my first creative day. I could do it, or I could let my life be defined by work. I chose to be called and haven't looked back ever since. 😁
