Why The Next Five Years (5+)?

The world is awash in stories of #StartupLife and #FounderLife. Reading them, you imagine that a founder had an idea, found a mage, picked some herbs, muttered some words, and - poof! - success. The stories tell you about determination, grit, and substance over years, but, frankly, why should you believe them? They are wildly successful, shining, beautiful, magnificent creatures.

And you? You just have a micro business, or are dreaming of going out and freelancing. All you see is darkness, isolation, hard work, and not much thanks.

I’ve been there. I’ve been you. I am still you. But unlike you, I am five years in.

A massive 80% of businesses fail in the first five years. Statistically, I am a success. But what happens from your 5th birthday? What happens once your business is school-aged?

Today, 11 September 2018, my company turned five. I am about to find out.

Subscribe to The Next Five Years and join me on the journey.
